July 5th is National Bikini Day and marks the anniversary of the two piece which was introduced in 1946 and has been a regular accessory on our beaches & pools ever since.
Invented by French automobile engineer & clothing designer Louis Réard and named after “Bikini Atoll” in the USA where atomic tests were conducted. However, it took until the 1960’s before America accepted this skimpy covering unlike the Europeans who embraced it from the start.
So to celebrate, why not get yourself bikini ready just in time for Bikini Day Anniversary on July 5th and book a beach stay to celebrate– now which colour will you pick!
